Fossil Q Wander Build & Design
Fossil Q Wander is not small if you say. The touchscreen is 1.42 inches bigger and the metal case is 13.5mm thicker. You will feel the size and weight when you put it on.
The case is full round with 22mm interchangeable straps.
The screen resolution is 320x290px. The quality of the display is good, not great. There is a small tire at the bottom of the screen. It is fairly noticeable when it lights up.
Most people will think that this is the ambient light sensor as its predecessors. But it is not. Fossil removed this feature but kept the tire without any important reason.
The performance of this watch is convincing. It comes with a Snapdragon 2100 chipset which is newer and better than the previous chipsets.

Q Wander comes in 6 different colors and models. These are (1) Light Brown Leather, (2) Rose Gold-Tone Stainless, (3) White Silicone, (4) Stainless Steel, (5) Black Silicone and (6) Wine Leather.

Fossil Q Wander Review – Features
Android Wear 2.0: Google’s updated smartwatch OS “Android Wear 2.0” is featured in this device. You can have a compact-size android on your wrist including many known features. The voice-activated “Okay Google” will help you do your tasks more easily.
Built-in Activity Tracking: This watch has built-in tracking sensors for steps, distance, and calories. While it does take care of your basic activity tracking, it doesn’t have sleep tracking or heart rate tracking.
Smartphone Notifications: When you are connected, it will keep you updated with all the new notifications you get. You can respond to texts, calls, and e-mails directly from the wrist.
Built-in Speaker and Microphone: This device can hear your voice through the microphone and do Android Wear’s voice-activated tasks. It has a built-in loudspeaker that can replace your headphones for basic tasks.
Interchangeable Straps: Fossil Q Wander supports interchangeable watch straps. You can primarily choose whether you need a leather strap or a chain strap. You can buy additional straps and make it go perfectly with your fashion.
Customizable Watch Faces: There are a bunch of watch faces built-in on the device. Each of them is customizable and easily changeable. You can set your own background color, graphics, and dials. Since it is an Android Wear, you can download more as per your requirement.
Remote Music: You can remotely control music on the favorite music app on your phone. It supports almost everything whether it is Pandora, Spotify, Google Play, Soundcloud or Apple Music.
Led Flashlight: This is not an actual flashlight like your phone’s. When this flashlight is on, the screen turns brighter. It will illuminate a small area that is possible throughout the highest brightness of a 1.42-inches display.
IP67 Protection: The watch is protected by an IP67 rating. It is solid for everyday use and can resist water splashes. But it should not be exposed to direct water. It is incompatible with swimming/bathing.

Battery & Connectivity
Fossil Q Wander comes with a unique inductive charging facility. You can charge this device by placing it over the charger magnet. It takes about 4 hours to fully charge the 360mAh battery. It will last approximately 24 hours depending on the usage.
This watch is compatible with Android 4.3+ and iOS 9.0+ phones. It connects to your phone using Bluetooth 4.1 on a connected app. There is Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n support alongside.
It will help function a few Android Wear apps.
There is a dedicated “Fossil Q” app in the store. But the “Android Wear” app is well enough to perfectly integrates this device with your android smartphone.
“Android Wear” on the Apple Store can connect it to your iPhone too. But some features may not work properly.
Is The Fossil Q Wander a Perfect Android Wear?
Fossil Q Wander stands out mostly because of its appearance. It is sleek and beautiful. The classic round-shaped watch combines with many smart features. The voice-activated Android Wear will add more to the mobility of users.
While some might notice that it is lacking in some areas. It doesn’t have sleep tracking; it doesn’t heart rate track either. There is no ambient light sensor in the device. That means you have to control the brightness all by yourself.
So this device is good and bad in different situations. If you need an entry-level Android Wear or you are in love with the design, go for Fossil Q Wander. But if your search is for a highly featured smartwatch, you might not be satisfied.
